RoHS

Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances

Situation
Since 2006, the EU RoHS Directive (Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances) has prohibited the use of certain substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

Challenge
Each supplier must ensure that their products meet the RoHS requirements. This is not an easy task, since this directive regulates the use of a variety of substances: from cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers to lead. The implementation of the guidelines, though based on EU legislation, must be observed worldwide.

Solution
The iPoint Compliance Agent (iPCA) provides answers to all RoHS questions: With its material database and the Compliance Agent module iPCA/CSI (Compliance Substance Inspector),  an easy and comfortable check existing information is just a mouse click away. Regardless of changes to the EU Directive, iPoint's intelligent agent technology will ensure that the data is always current due to automatic updates.

Another plus: When it comes to RoHS et al.,  the Compliance Agent is optimized for both regulatory and process compliance. Therefore, it enables you to provide compliant products and answers to customer inquiries quickly, with minimal effort.
