Design for Environment (DfE)

Sustainable product development - Eco-design.
The effects of products on the environment can be positively controlled or reduced, while they are still in the planning stage. To achieve this, we view the product throughout its whole life cycle - from raw material selection through use of materials, production, transport, use, to recycling and disposal.

Our goal is to reduce the environmental impacts at each stage. It is important to consider that the ecological improvement of one stage has a positive effect on the entire life cycle.

In order to reduce environmental impacts, we consider the following factors:
  - Moderate use of resouces
  - Selection of environmentally-friendly materials (secondary raw materials over primary raw materials)
  - Recycling-friendly product design
  - Recycling-oriented production

We rely on standardized methods, such as IEC 62 430 (Eco-design for Consumer Electronics).

  • Integrated management: The iPoint Sustainability Suite complements the existing management system approaches to the environmental aspect of sustainability (LCA, recycling,...).
  • Eco-design: Sets of standardized methods and procedures.
  • Tools: Supports product development process through the use of specialized tools.
  • Green products: The use of iPoint Sustainability solutions enable the demonstration and communication of environmental aspects of sustainability, the ecological advantages of this approach is demonstrated in the products developed and produced.
